On October 23rd, Newbury held its annual Career Fair. This robust event hosted 43 employers, including TD Garden/Boston Bruins, Encore Boston Harbor Casino, WGBH, Marriott International, the Burea of Alchohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, U.S. Customs & Border Patrol, the Mass State Police, Eastern Standard, Smith & Wollensky, Aramark and Boston's Children Hospital. Each major was represented, giving the 123 students who participated multiple opportunities to speak with various employers from their fields of study about internships and job positions. This exciting event helped students to practice their networking skills and gain valuable insights into their future careers.
Matthew Qualter, Director of Experiential Learning and Career Services, atrributed the success of our annual Internship & Career Fair to the hard work of all of the faculty and staff, who helped spread the word to students inside and outside the classroom and volunteered to assist with the event ifself. The high student turnout and the multitude of employers at the fair created a vibrant atmosphere, sure to encourage even more employers to participate next year!
