Sept. 10, 2018 – Today, the U.S. News and World Report released their 2019 Best Colleges Rankings, naming Newbury as one of the Best Regional Colleges in the North. U.S. News uses up to 15 indicators of academic excellence, including but not limited to graduation and retention rates, academic reputation, faculty resources, and student selectivity, to calculate the rankings.
This marks the second consecutive year that Newbury has been ranked as one of the Best Regional Colleges in the North. Identified as the 31st ranked college in the category for 2019, Newbury has already moved up 7 positions within a year’s time.
In addition to its notable ranking for overall excellence, Newbury was ranked 4th of all Regional Colleges in the North for campus ethnic diversity, marking it as the only college in New England to reach the Top 5 in this category for the second year in a row. Once again, Newbury improved its ranking within one short year, moving up from 5th place last year. Newbury prides itself on its welcoming and inclusive educational experience, striving each day to open the doors of opportunity to our students.
Newbury combines experiential learning with a liberal arts core to give students a well-rounded, career-focused education. The College’s dedication to student success inside and outside the classroom helped Newbury earn a spot in this year’s U.S. News rankings.
