A Message to Mount Ida Students

Newbury is committed to the student experience and academic success of every student and is here to help in any way that we can to make this difficult time a bit easier.

Message for Mount Ida College Students:

Today’s news is certainly unsettling and I know how important Mount Ida is to each of you. Attending a small college is an intentional choice and one that has tremendous value. Small classrooms, the ability to engage one-on-one with faculty and a nurturing environment are just some of the important characteristics of small colleges. Like Mount Ida, Newbury is committed to the student experience and academic success of every student.

As you explore ways to continue your academic journey, Newbury is here to help in any way that we can to make this difficult time a bit easier. If you are enrolled in an academic program that Newbury currently offers, Newbury will accept all of your credits and you can complete the degree in the same amount of time as it would have taken you at Mount Ida College. In addition, we will explore degree completion options for those programs that we do not currently offer to assist you in completing your college degree.

As we make the transfer process easier, we will also match your net price at Mount Ida until you graduate from Newbury College.

If you were accepted for the fall semester as a new student at Mount Ida College, we will grant automatic acceptance to Newbury for fall 2018. Again, we will match your institutional financial aid award from Mount Ida College and your net price will be the same.

I know these are small steps, but Newbury is committed to helping every student achieve their dreams and aspiration of a college education. If we can help you, please contact our Admissions office at 617-730-7007 or via email at admissions@newbury.edu. We will have a special admission process for all Mount Ida College students.

We certainly wish all of you much success and we hope to see you at Newbury College this fall!
