Jane Lundquist Named Trustee Emerita

Aug. 8, 2017 – Newbury College is proud to bestow upon Jane Lundquist the title of Trustee Emerita. Lundquist joined the Board of Trustees in 2002 and has been an incredible member of the College Community. She served as Board Treasurer and was a part of both the Finance Committee and Executive Committee.

In her more than ten years of service to Newbury, Lundquist has helped Newbury achieve many of the goals in the Strategic Plan and Campus Master Plan. Her experience in banking and work with Rockland Trust were assets to the Board of Trustees. Lundquist also donated the Lundquist Patio outside of the Mitton House.

“It has been an honor working with Jane over the years and I deeply appreciate her keen insight and wisdom as she helped guide the finances of the College,” said Newbury College President, Dr. Joseph L. Chillo. “As one of the longest serving Trustees in the College's history, her distinguished service and commitment were extraordinary.  It was only fitting for the Board of Trustees to bestow upon Jane the title of Trustee Emerita.  Newbury is a better institution today because of Jane's work and dedication to the institutional success of the College.”

Lundquist also serves on the Board of Directors of the Franciscan Hospital for Children. She holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Newbury is deeply grateful for Lunqduist’s service to the College and her dedication to its mission and goals.
