#ItsOnUS Week of Action

Sponsored by Newbury Speaks Out; – Co-sponsored by the ROPE Committee, Office of Student Involvement, First Year Experience, Office of Residence Life, Pride Club and the Campus Activities Board.

Its On Us is a cultural movement focused on educating and raising awareness of sexual assault. Its goals include to reshape how society looks at sexual assault and to inspire individuals, groups, companies, colleges, teams, etc. to take responsibility to stand up against and prevent sexual assault. Audrie & Daisy

Monday 10/10 – 7 p.m. – Weltman Lounge

Netflix documentary about two high school aged students and how their cases of sexual assault were handled by their communities.

Pledge Day

Tuesday 10/11 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – AC Lobby

Take the official It’s On Us pledge, join in on our community art project and celebrate the day along with Pride Club for Coming Out Day.

Survivor Day

Wednesday 10/12 – All Day

Wear TEAL! Teal shows your support of survivors of sexual assault and that you stand with them to end this on college campuses. Stop by SC112 for a ribbon that day!

One Love Workshop

Monday 10/17 – 7 p.m. Weltman Lounge

Join us for a peer lead workshop about seeing the signs of an abusive relationship and how YOU can step in to help your friends when they need it the most.

White Ribbon Campaign

Monday 10/17 – All Day

Wear WHITE! White Ribbon Campaign is about men helping to end violence against women. Stop by SC112 for a ribbon that day!

One Night

Tuesday 10/18 – 12:45 p.m. – SC Auditorium

One Night is an interactive play about acquaintance rape, performed by professional actors. Using humor, drama and audience interaction, the play follows four college students as they deal with complex issues of today.
