Student Accounts Information

Spring 2019

The charges on your student account reflect your actual registration and housing charges for returning students, and estimated registration and housing charges for incoming students.

You can view your billing statement online using our Nethawk system. Chose My Info > Billing Statement > Select a Semester Range. Choose “Spring 2018-19” and click on View Statement. 

Clearing Your Balance

Your payment due is shown on your billing statement. These are the payment methods we accept:

  • Verified Financial Aid: Be sure all your awards are in “Verified” status. If any of your aid is not listed or shows as Pending, please contact Financial Aid to finalize your package.
  • Additional Funding Options:Consider applying for an alternative loan or talk to a parent about applying for a PLUS loan.
  • Payment Plans: Newbury partners with TMS to offer interest-free payment plans. At this time, enrollment in new plans is closed.
  • Private Scholarship or 529 Plan: Arrange to have payment sent to us.
  • Online payments:Pay with MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Discover, or PayPal from your Nighthawk account. 
  • Checks: Mail your check to Newbury College, 129 Fisher Avenue, Brookline, MA 02445, Attention: Student Accounts. You can also come by the office and pay in person.

You can use any combination of these options!

Financial Responsibility

Diplomas, official transcripts or records, and letters of withdrawal and recommendation will be issued only upon payment of all bills to the Collegee. No student may participate in commencement ceremonies unless all such payments have been made.

About Health Insurance

Massachusetts requires that all students enrolled at least three-quarter time (9 credits) have health insurance. If you already have health insurance through your family or on your own, you may complete the online waiver at through the end of Add/Drop.

If you are currently enrolled in MassHealth or one of the MassHealth Managed Care Organizations* (MCO), you may qualify for the Premium Assistance Program. Begin the online waiver. If it determines you are eligible, you will be enrolled in our Student Blue Plan at no cost to you.
